NEW SHOW: UBIN BOY -starring coeway as ah boy-

10 year old Steven is a divinity of a city kid. His life is surrounded by hand phones, computers, internet, play station, ipod, large screen plasma television, stereo sound system and of course the comforts of air conditioning and a maid. Life is good.
Things take a turn when his father, Mr. Teo, a businessman, loses his company to a financial crisis. Unable to upkeep their house in the city, Mr. Teo has to relocate the entire family to his childhood home in Pulau Ubin. There lives Steven’s cousin, Ah Boy and their grandmother, Ah Ma. Although Steven only visits them once or twice a year, during Chinese New Year or Ah Ma’s birthday, he hates going to Palau Ubin. A pure city boy at heart, Steven doesn’t like nature at all. He finds it hot, bothersome, and worse still; having to fight with mosquitoes and bugs. It’s definitely the last place he wants to be in. So imagine the surprise when he finds out that is exactly where he is going to spend the next six weeks of his year end holiday!
The day of reckoning finally comes when the Teo family moves from city life to kampong life. As the family takes the water boat out from Changi jetty to P. Ubin, Steven’s heart falls. Mr. Teo encourages Steven. It will not only be fun, but also a good opportunity to see how his father lived as a boy. But Steven is not so sure. As a matter of fact, he is all prepared to hate Palau Ubin.
When Steven finally arrives at Ah Ma’s, all his worse fears are realized, not only does he has to live in a small rickety house that doesn’t even have a proper bathroom much less air conditioning, he also has to content with Ah Ma pinching his cheeks and messing up his hair. And as if that is not bad enough, Steven has to content with his cousin, Ah Boy!
The slightly shorter but stronger Ah Boy is only to glad to pay Steven back for the past bullying he received when they were younger. Now with his well toned muscles earned from climbing trees and other outdoor activities, he is ready to welcome his city cousin with a well deserve headlock! Needless to say, Steven and Ah boy haven’t always got along. While Ah Boy thinks Steven is sissy pampered city boy, Steven thinks Ah Boy is an unrefined, dirty kampong boy.
Now however, the two boys will have to learn to get along with each other, because six weeks is a pretty long time.
As Steven slowly settles into his new environment, he learns that life in a simple and small kampong like Pulau Ubin really isn’t that bad after all. Ah Boy also discovers that having someone his age to hang out with, is really a lot of fun.
Together with Ah Boy’s next door neighbour, the feisty Xiaomin, the trio undertakes one great adventure after another. Pretty much soon, they also meet Teck Ko, a loony but very funny character who is always trying to tricks them but gets the tables turned on him instead.
Very soon, life is a lot more colourful, fun and exciting as Steven learns about the beauty of lifelong friendships, the great outdoors and the magic that is Pulau Ubin.

DESARU TRIP -written by sheen-
Day 1arrived at golden beach hotel. unloaded our bags and went to the small hall. got our keys and went to our rooms to unpack. the room was damn sucky. we had to share beds. we had lunch and went to look at medicinal and pitcher plants. then we had the lame sand sculpturing contest. which my group got 0 marks.had a lousy dinner and we had a boring quiz. and it was lights OUT.

Day 2had trouble waking up at 630am. that morning. we went to the nature reserve to understand the Tropical rainforest system. it was damn boring. haha. catching fishes andcollecting leaves. boy it was tiring. at night, we went to hunt for insects.

Day 3went to a science school to play "SNATCH - scrabble". we played it in english and malay. it was kinda fun? i guess. play soccer in the afternoon and we also went shopping. bought a couple of thins there. = ) then we went to see fireflies and all that...........

Day 4treasure hunt took place in the morning and my goup came in first amoung our class. haha. LOSERS. lol. i got a cut on my hand as i slipped and fell, on my HAND of COURSE. then i fell ill. lol. like ALL OF A SUDDEN. and i got to skip the hermit crab hunting. LMAO. i went to see the doc. and got some medication. we had BBQ for dinner. the best meal by far during the trip. then we had prize presentation. and my group won 3rd prize, for shell collecting. LOL.we got biscuits. chocolate and strawberry flavour. after it ended, we went back to our rooms. then at abt 12am, bongard cam to check on us. we "freaked out"........

Day 5we did tree planting today for CIP. it was fun? lol. then we went to pac our bas, check out and had lunch. then we had free time. we wet to the beach. played pool. and made our way home. that's about all.

DESARU OEP TRIP '06YAY! im back =) spent like 5 days and 4 nights there!! I was like left with 1 shirt by the end of the trip. took like 100 over pics =P woohoo. gosh! i leftt my shampoo in the toilet. I just realised = *sobs* haha. the room checks were scary. everyone was like running back to their rooms and calling frens to warn them!! haha. so funny. kenneth was funny. put sugar in tim ong's bed. so bad. then tim ong go complain to teacher... and wei sheng go whack kenneth. so petty lorh. the food we ate there all not nice. everyone all like survived on instant noodles? haha. the fireflies were real wierd. they were like lights hanging on a christmas tree!! and there were so many bats hiding underneath a bridge!! hermit crabs r so annoying. i didnt even find one! ahh! i wish i could find one and bring back. haizzz... david, sheen, me and stanley r brothers!! woohoo... dsds =) ahah. i imported all the photos to my iPod and thumbdrive liaox. ahaha. today me, stanley, david and nick soh went to play LAN. david keep feeding in dotA lorh. so funny. but he didnt play for so long so yah. then nick soh left and we played cs, starwars and unreal tournament 2005. we played like 3 of us against 15 bots in CS. so funny. we kept dying cause there were too many coming from everywhere. AHH! haha. anyway, yah. see. MY BLOG ISNT DEAD =) hehex.
